Design

The stunning 6-inch screen makes for a powerful introduction to the Mate 10 Pro. This 18:9 ratio display stretches practically edge-to-edge and uses AMOLED technology for deep, rich blacks and colour-contrast. The panel is also HDR10 compliant.

Mate 10 Pro's metal body is encased in toughened glass. This is subject to an intense heating procedure to allow it to be moulded into the perfect curved shape and create a glossy finish. 

Every handset's uniform colour is offset with a signature stripe to highlight the centre-mounted dual camera array.

As a final addition, every Mate 10 Pro is IP67 dust and water resistant. 

Performance

HiSilicon Kirin processors are unique to Huawei's hardware and punch-for-punch as powerful as leading chips from Qualcomm, MediaTek and Samsung. 

Inside the Mate 10 Pro you'll find the latest HiSilicon Kirin 970. This powerful chip utilises rapid 10nm technology with an octa-core CPU bolstered by a 12-core graphics unit.

Power

Cameras

All the top smartphones now feature a dual-camera array. The Mate 10 Pro is no different. As expected, this set up allows you to introduce depth of field effects, as well as faux aperture trickery.

Mate 10 Pro's 20MP sensor is monochrome, so you can capture native black and white photography. The main RGB sensor is 12MP. Having the separate 20MP monochrome sensor captures extra light and detail to help process the images and better shoot in low light.

Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) avoids all but the heaviest camera shake to deliver perfectly focussed images and delivers smooth video.

Using AI and learning algorithms, Mate 10 Pro can identify scenes and objects in real time then automatically adjust colour, contrast brightness and exposure. 

Mobile Experience

Their experience in providing hardware to cellular operators makes its way into their handsets as well, so Huawei smartphones are quick to search for and transfer between cells, even in areas of low signal, or when travelling at high speed.

A powerful real-time translator is a truly modern addition. This feature is integrated into the EMUI system and available within a number of system applications. Over 50 languages are supported and thanks to the AI acceleration from the Kirin 970 processor; text, voice, and even images can be instantly converted. 

User Interface

EMUI 8.0 offers a number of new features to get the most out of your Mate 10 Pro. Easy Projection allows you to supersize your screen. Just hook the phone up to a larger display to mirror or extend.

You can even use a wireless mouse and keyboard at the same time as extending the screen or use the phone screen as a mobile touchpad.

Notifications calls & messages can all be set to remain private and only display on the phone. 

If you're big into gaming then full-screen gaming mode removes all notifications and potential interruptions until your session is finished.

Not keen on the standard Android navigation? EMUI lets you customise your home screen further by letting you place your home button and short-cut dock wherever you want them.
